Fiberglass Pools

Fiberglass Pools, Installed Fast And Built To Last

Factory-built shells with a smooth, low-maintenance finish, set into your yard in a fraction of the time a custom build takes. Talk through shapes, sizes and depths with our team and see how a model fits your property.

Built In A Factory, Set In Your Yard

A Faster Path To A Finished Pool

A fiberglass pool starts as a single manufactured shell, built in controlled conditions and delivered ready to set. Once your site is excavated, the shell goes into the ground in a day or two, which means less time with a torn-up yard and a quicker road to your first swim.

  • Smooth, non-porous gelcoat surface that resists algae
  • Built-in steps, benches and tanning ledges molded into the shell
  • Proven models installed by a dedicated fiberglass crew

Six Things To Look For In A Fiberglass Pool

Models vary by shape, depth and built-in features. These are the details most homeowners compare first.

Less Yard Disruption

Installed In Weeks, Not Months

Because the shell is made off site, the longest stages of a traditional build, like forming, shooting and curing a concrete shell, are already done before it arrives. You still get plumbing, decking and equipment hookup, but the whole project moves on a shorter, more predictable schedule.

  • Easy To MaintainThe gelcoat interior is smooth and non-porous, so it holds up to algae better than a textured finish and never needs to be replastered.
  • One Crew, Start To FinishExcavation, shell setting, plumbing, decking and startup all stay under one crew and one point of contact.
  • Need A Fully Custom Shape?Fiberglass comes in a set catalog of models. If you want something designed from scratch, see our custom gunite pools.

If we could give Blue Springs Pools more than 5 stars, we would! They took us from breaking ground to swimming in a little over a month and a half, and we couldn’t be happier with the result. We’ve always dreamed of having an in-ground pool, and they absolutely nailed our 20x10 pocket spa pool with tanning ledge, bubblers, and built-in umbrella holders. TJ is the man. He helped us choose all the colors/materials, constantly stopped by the job site, and answered every one of our “this is probably a dumb question, but…” phone calls. Mike helped oversee the crews and was always genuinely friendly, chatty, helpful, and happy to explain what was going on. There were no hidden surprises. We were kept informed from day one about potential add-ons based on property conditions. This is a completely honest and transparent company. Every crew—from excavation to gunite to tile—was great to have around! They cleaned up after themselves at every stage, which was huge for us. (Feed the guys cookies and apparently you get free jokes too, hah!) There were a couple hiccups along the way, as there are with any construction project, but Blue Springs was immediately responsive and came up with solutions fast. We never felt like a hassle. Now we get to float in our pool and watch the wild deer and impala roam our property. Pretty hard to beat that. Blue Springs completely transformed our backyard, and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who had a hand in it. 10/10 — if you’re around Lampasas or Burnet and thinking about a pool, these are your guys!!

Common Questions

Fiberglass Pool FAQs

How is a fiberglass pool installed?

We excavate to the shape of your chosen model, prepare a level base, and set the shell into the ground with a crane. Plumbing, backfill, decking and equipment hookup follow. Because the shell arrives finished, the work that takes the most time on a custom build is already done before it gets to your yard.

Will a fiberglass pool hold up in Central Texas?

Yes. Fiberglass shells are built with some flex, which helps them handle the ground movement that comes with Hill Country clay and limestone. The gelcoat surface is also made to stand up to heat, sun and pool chemistry. We will look at your site and soil before recommending a model.

Does a fiberglass pool ever need to be replastered?

No. A fiberglass pool has a gelcoat finish instead of plaster, so there is no replastering cycle. Day to day care is mostly about keeping the water balanced and the equipment running.

Are there size limits on a fiberglass pool?

Yes. The shell has to be transported by road, which limits how wide and long a model can be. Fiberglass works well for most standard residential yards. If you want a very large or fully custom footprint, a gunite pool is usually the better fit, and we can walk you through both.
